Sie unterscheidet drei Stufen, je nachdem ob die Spezifikation nach der Aufgabe erhalten bleibt oder selbst die Quelle des Codes ist, beschreibt den vollen Ablauf an kleinen Aufgaben als übertrieben und zieht eine Linie zur modellgetriebenen Entwicklung. Die Autorin hält selbst fest, dass sich die Werkzeuge schnell ändern.
